1. Principles and legal bases
VYNEQ processes data needed to provide the requested service and perform the Pro subscription, protect the service and prevent abuse under its legitimate interests, and meet legal obligations. Production contains no advertising, advertising identifier or product analytics. Camera and file permissions are used only after your action.
2. Account and cross-device sign-in
Free remains available without an account. If you create one, VYNEQ stores an opaque internal identifier and the technical link to your Google or Apple identifier to authenticate you across devices and the Web. VYNEQ does not automatically merge accounts based on email. Revocable sessions are stored securely and provider tokens are not exposed to other devices. The account lets the same subscription, quota and Pro content be used on Android, iOS and Web. You can sign out everywhere or delete the account. Deletion revokes sessions and deletes or anonymises removable data; payment evidence required by law or fraud prevention may be retained. Deleting a VYNEQ account does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription.
3. Local data and installation identity
Preferences and History remain on the device until deletion or eviction beyond 50 entries. History may contain QR type and date, or a transfer’s name, type, size and status, never the file. Free creates a random pseudonymous installation identifier stored locally or in secure device storage. It is not public and is not derived from a hardware identifier. The server retains only a hash to manage TURN quota and abuse.
4. Direct transfer and TURN relay
VYNEQ first attempts a direct connection between devices. Files are not stored in the VYNEQ Cloud in this mode. When required by the network, a TURN relay may carry the stream during the session without storing the file. Devices must remain available. Temporary codes and QR codes are access secrets. Minimal data may be processed, including IP address, timestamp, session, role, network information and reserved or relayed volume.
5. Pro Cloud and permanent file QR codes
Smart Routing may use Pro Cloud when Direct cannot start before payload transmission. Cloud files are stored temporarily by the infrastructure provider for upload, resume and download through short-lived tokens and signed URLs. Necessary metadata includes pseudonymous owner, name, type, size, integrity, state and timestamps. A Pro permanent file QR is different: its file and stable URL remain available until deletion or the service’s expiry/recovery rules apply. The file can be replaced behind the same QR. Anyone holding the public link or QR may access it; you must control distribution. No absolute storage location is promised unless guaranteed by deployment configuration.
6. Subscription, payment and entitlement
Google Play or Apple processes payment, currency, tax, renewal, cancellation and some refunds under its rules. VYNEQ receives and retains technical identifiers, evidence and events needed to verify purchases, restore rights, process Store notifications, prevent fraud and enforce expiry. Purchase tokens are not displayed publicly.
7. Providers and recipients
Render hosts the application service, database and logs under the deployed configuration. Cloudflare provides STUN/TURN and R2 object storage when enabled. Google Play and Apple support the corresponding subscriptions. Providers also apply their own terms and retention. VYNEQ does not sell data.
8. Retention
Direct sessions: five minutes before connection, with earlier closure possible; an active session is technically capped at thirty minutes. TURN credentials: short-lived, up to ten minutes for the planned Free fallback. Free TURN ledger: pseudonymous events for the rolling thirty-day window, then excluded and removed by the planned cleanup. Cloud Transfer: upload for up to twenty-four hours, then availability for up to twenty-four hours after completion; asynchronous deletion follows. Permanent QR: until deletion; after loss of rights, a fifteen-day recovery period is planned before cleanup. Signed QR download URL: five minutes. Billing/entitlement, logs, support and backups: the code sets no single duration; retention is limited by purpose, security, accounting/legal duties and provider configuration.
9. Security, rights and contact
HTTPS/WSS, access controls, temporary URLs and SHA/checksum checks protect operations without promising total anonymity, end-to-end encryption for Cloud, guaranteed availability or universally immediate deletion. You can clear local History and delete permanent QR codes through the service. Use the contact below for applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection rights. Proportionate verification may be requested. You may also complain to the competent supervisory authority.
10. Content, children and changes
You remain responsible for shared files, links and QR codes, recipients and code confidentiality. VYNEQ is not specifically directed at children. This policy may change with the product, infrastructure or law; the displayed date identifies the published version.
